Father Steve has been a hand bookbinder hobbyist since 1964. While
at the Saint Paul Seminary,
Fr. Steve was the seminary library bookbinder for five years.
Now he has developed a business, Special
Bindings, so he can enjoy his two favorite things:wedding officiant and bookbinding
(or as he humorously says: "hitch and stitch").
An option offered to all his couples is a custom printed, hand bound wedding ceremony book in luscious French velour book fabric. The ceremony book will contain the entire text and musical selections you have chosen for your ceremony. The ceremony book will be used at your ceremony and you will keep it as a treasured remembrance of your special day.
Cost: $70 plus sales tax for Minnesota residents.
When you meet with Fr. Steve, he will show you
a sample wedding ceremony book,
plus the different color velour and designs.

The ceremony book will be bound in luxurious
velour imported from France in your choice of three colors (see right bar. Sample on left
is Endive). Note: Colors on this page are approximate. The rich texture of
velvet cannot be replicated on a web page.

The inside book covers will be done in rich Burgundy velour, also imported from France (see right bar).
Size is approximately 7½x5½ inches for easy use during the ceremony.
Inside Text
The ceremony book will contain all the words
spoken at your wedding and music:
> prayers,
> blessings,
> readings,
> vows,
> homily.
Additional pages can include:
> your own poem or personal essay of your love or a well known poem,
> a remembrance page of the people involved in your wedding, such as
your parents, wedding attendants, ushers, photographer, musicians, florist, and
other people you want to include.
The pages will be printed on heavy classic linen paper and hand sewn for a long lasting permanent binding.
